Unicorn Magic Party Theme from Birthday In a Box
UNICORN PARTY INVITATIONS
Front Cover:
"A Magical Unicorn was sighted at _____'s house.
Share her good fortune and her birthday..."
Inside:
"Come look for the golden horn that was left behind."
Then give the party details.
A sprinkle of glitter in the card or envelope adds flare.
UNICORN PARTY DECORATIONS
Fill you party area with balloons
and streamers.
Cover the table with a matching table cloth.
Make your centerpiece with a pink gift bag and a balloon bouquet. Glue an extra
unicorn plate onto the bag. Tie the balloons onto a weight and place it into the gift bag.
Add matching tissue paper. Sprinkle sequins and some imitation
flowers on the table.
Advanced Decorating
Turn your party room into a magical unicorn
forest. Enlist/hire an artistic teenager to paint
a beautiful unicorn and hang it on the party room wall.
Add very large daisies made from poster board and hang tissue paper, or artificial butterflies from the ceiling.
UNICORN BIRTHDAY PARTY GAMES AND ACTIVITIES
A Pretty Picture Frame
Digital camera or Polaroid needed
Pre-cut or purchase color foam picture frames.
Decorate with stickers, ribbons, glitter glue or jewels.
Take a picture of each party guest with the special Unicorn
mentioned in the above decorating suggestions.
Make and take Glitter Dough
Make your own play dough.
Provide each child with a ball of dough and some fine glitter (craft store). The children will work the glitter into the dough.
Package each of the guests dough into a Zip -loc bag to be taken home as a party favor.
Unicorn Party Puzzler
Before the party -- Print out Unicorn pictures from the Internet,
or use a coloring book. Attach each picture onto some construction paper with a glue stick. Cut the pictures into 2, 3, or 4 puzzle pieces. Hide the pieces around the party area.
The girls each need to find one puzzle piece and then find the the players with the matching piece/s.
Pin the Horn on the Unicorn
(play just like Pin the Tail on the Donkey)
Enlist an artistic teenager to fashion a beautiful unicorn on a large
sheet of poster board. However...don not include the horn. Make unicorn
horns with craft foam or poster board. Add a small piece of
"sticky-tack" to attach the horns at game time. Once the game is over
your unicorn-loving birthday girl will be able hang the poster on her
bedroom wall!
Unicorn Treasure
Can the party guests find an illusive unicorn in your backyard?
Send the children on a unicorn search, by leaving clues around the party
area; pieces of mane (pink and lavender yarn), glitter painted
horseshoes,
and maybe a unicorn horn made with cardboard and glitter. Each clue will
include a note that leads to the next clue, until they find their
magical goody bags. The Unicorn will leave a note with the party favors
saying...
"Well done my enchanted friends. You have search well, but, unicorns
must stay a magical mystery...here is your reward!"
