Send invitations 2-3 weeks before the party.

TIP:
Begin collecting the dress-up items during the weeks before the
party.
Thrift stores, friends and relatives are the best source.

TEA PARTY GAMES & ACTIVITIES
Don't expect young children to keep themselves
entertained.
Plan a few games and a craft to keep kids happy. You may
even want to have a few no-prep parlor games or word
games ready to play. It's better to have too many
activities, rather than too few.
Sugar Cube Stacks
Provide a smooth surface and a large pile of sugar cubes
to each player. Set a timer. The object of the game is
to build the tallest tower before when the timer goes
off.
Set the Table Please
Although tea parties are generally calm ands little
girls are on their
best behavior. We suggest a little physical activity to
let loose those
little girl sillies. this game will do the trick!
Place an X on the ground/floor to establish a starting
line.
Proved a Kid-sized table a reasonable distance away from
the "X".
If you don't have a table, a cloth covered box with do.
Gather a proper tea setting; plastic tea cup, saucer,
tea pot, spoon, sugar bowl, creamer, dessert fork etc.
Place all of the items into a box or basket and place at
the starting line marked "X". All of the girls will
begin at the starting line. When you say "Go!", one
player at a time will quickly bring a piece of the place
setting to the table and return to the starting line.
Then the next player takes turn and so on ,until
the table is set. You may want to establish a time limit
to add to the excitement. It's important that no
breakable or sharp objects be used.
Kit's Tip: Consider drawing a setting guide on a paper
placemat. Place it
on the table for the girls to follow.

Many crafts are appropriate for this theme. Here are a
few of our best suggestions. Craft kits are the easiest
when hosting a party, as the supplies are usually all
prepared ahead of time:
Decorate doorknob hanger.
Bead a necklace or bracelet.
Decorate a picture frame.
Decorate a foam or plastic visor.
Make tissue flowers.
Make paper fans.
Use scrapbook supplies to decorate page with
a digital photo from the party.
Tea Party Birthday Treats
A traditional tea party menu is not always considered
tasty to young children. Adapt it a bit to better suit
young taste buds.
Serve pink lemonade or flavored iced tea. Kid- friendly
sandwiches cut with cookie cutters; flower, heart and
star.
Chucks of fruit placed on popsicle sticks (safer than
skewers).
Sweet Tea Treats:
Chocolate covered strawberries
Mini-cupcakes
Vanilla wafer cookies dipped in white chocolate and
decorating sprinkles.
Lemon bars
Cut pink and vanilla wafer cookies into squares to make
faux petit fours cakes.

After tea, treats, gifts and games, allow some free time
for playing
with the dolls they brought as guests.
