MY LITTLE PONY PARTY DECORATIONS
Fill you party area with balloons
and streamers.
Cover the table with a matching table cloth.
Make your centerpiece with a pink gift bag, a balloon bouquet and a few My
Little Pony toys. Tie the balloons onto a weight and place
it into the gift bag with some matching tissue paper. Surround the gift
bag with a few My Little Pony toys. Then sprinkle silver, pink or lavender sequins on the table.
Advanced Decorating - Turn your party room into Ponyville
enlisting the help of a talented teen. Use large appliance boxes, poster
paint, colored paper and tissue flowers. Paint the house to resemble one
of the pony characters, cut windows and a door. The children can play
with the house during the party.
Tip: do you know a teen interested in drama - they often enjoy painting
sets and scenes.
MY LITTLE PONY BIRTHDAY PARTY GAMES
Select 2-3 games and/or activities to entertain your guests. In a
two hour party there is usually time for two games and one craft.
Select the activities that best suit the age group and party space.
Provide a table for crayons and coloring sheets to use until all of
the guests arrive. You can print out the coloring sheets from the My
Little Pony website. This is also a quite activity to do at the end of
the party while
the children are waiting for their parents.
Pony Puzzler
Before the party -- Print out My Little Pony pictures from the Internet
or use a coloring book. Attach each picture onto some construction paper with a glue stick. Cut the pictures into 2, 3, or 4 puzzle pieces. Hide the pieces around the party area.
The girls each need to find one puzzle piece and then find the the players with the matching piece/s.

My Little Pony Races
Before the party, cut a 1- 2 foot length of streamer for each child and attach a piece of
double sided tape to the end of each.
Then hang two pony pictures on a tree or on a wall running distance from the children.
How to Play...divide the children into two teams. Hand each child a streamer. To start the race, the first child from each team runs with the
streamer and attaches it to the pony's mane.
The players run back, and tag the next teammate in each line who runs
to the picture, attaches the second streamer and so on. This continues until one team has all of their streamers in place,
forming a full pony mane.
Variation: One of the creative Amazing Moms visitors adapted this
game using two wooden saw horses and poster board. She drew and cut two
pony heads from the poster board and used a staple gun to attach the
heads to one end of the saw horse. the children were tasked with
attaching the mane and/or tale using the game above.

Allow some free time for the girls to play with the ponies
they brought, or that you provide.
MY LITTLE PONY PARTY CRAFTS
Including a craft in child's birthday party not only provides
an entertaining activity, it can be a take-away party favor as well.
Make and Take Glitter Play dough
Make your own play dough.
Provide each child with a ball of dough and some fine glitter (craft store). The children will work the glitter into the dough.
Package each of the guests dough into a Zip -loc bag to be taken home as a party favor.
Make a My
Little Pony House
Collect shoe boxes before the party.
Provide colorful paper, sticky backed craft foam, craft foam
flowers, glue sticks, scissors etc. The children can cover and
decorate their very own My Little Pony house to take home.
Sparkling Rainbows for "Rainbow Dash"
Paint rainbows using a sparkly salt paint method.
Cut white paper plates in half for the children to use for the rainbows.
To make sparkle paint combine liquid starch, salt and tempera paint.
Apply paint onto paper with
paint brush. When the paint is dry it will crystallize and sparkle.
Here are approximate measurements but you should test at home first, as
paint brands vary.
Salt Paint
1/8 C. liquid Starch
1/8 C. Water
1 TB. Tempera Paint
Don't forget to provide oversized shirts/smocks.
Pony Treats for Your Party Guests
If you'd like to serve a light lunch make pin wheel sandwiches with
tortilla wraps, cream cheese, lunch meat and lettuce. Spread the cream
cheese on the tortilla, layer the meat and lettuce and then roll. Cut
slices about 2 inches thick.
You can also make basic sandwiches and cut them with a flower cookie
cutter. Add fruit kabobs for a healthy addition.
Magical Drink
Serve Italian Cream sodas using pink, purple, red or orange syrup flavors.
Mix
soda water and Italian syrup. Pour in half & half and top with
whipped cream and a sprinkle of magic pink sugar. Serve with a pink straw.
MY LITTLE PONY PARTY FAVORS
Make and fill party favor cones with purple card stock paper. Roll the
paper into a cone and staple. Decorate the edge with glitter glue and write the
girl's names with a gel pen.
