"Elvis is in the building!"

Elvis look-a-like posters on the wall!

You may want to combine decorating themes with a favorite Elvis movie.
Such as Blue Hawaii -- decorate with Elvis and a Luau motif.

Upon arrival, give your party guests a Rock & Roll look with greased back hair, pony tails, jackets, white tee-shirts etc. You can also add a request to the invitation, to come in costume.

Elvis Party Games and Activities

Movie Time
Older kids will enjoy watching an old Elvis movie and snacking on popcorn.

Then play a game of Name that tune...
Play just the first few notes of an Elvis song...who can guess the title first. Keep playing more of the song if the kids get stumped.

Let the Good Times Roll
You'll need a hard surface floor and LP's to play this game.
The kids will have a contest on who can roll a record on it's
side for the longest distance.

Song and Dance Activities
If your guests aren't shy, have an Elvis impersonating contest, dance contest, or a simple sing-a-long with a Karaoke machine.

Play Twister, or learn some popular dance steps of the Elvis era.

Make guitar and music note cookies for the kids to decorate during
the party. Wrap them up to go home as a party favor.

Serve up some good old fashioned soda shop treats, like ice cream floats, burgers and fries. Or, even better, do a search for some of
"the King's" favorite vittles...like peanut butter and banana sandwiches.
Use a guitar shaped cookie cutter to cut sandwiches, cheese
and  "Jell-O jigglers". the children will enjoy decorating the guitar
cookies as an extra activity.

Then celebrate with a guitar shaped cake. It's not too difficult to
make if you use a Wilton's guitar cake pan.
