Boohbah Birthday Party - Birthday
Parties for Preschoolers
Host a magical BoohBah birthday party with these party ideas,
party games
and party planning tips for preschoolers.
Begin with bright, colorful solid colored party
ware; plates, table cover,
decorations
and favors!
A Special Welcome
Upon arrival give each child a fabric tunic made with one of the rainbow BoohBah Colors and a matching pair of "squeaky" socks. No-Sew Tunics can be made by cutting fabric with pinking shears. First cut a rectangle, fold it in half and cut a triangle for the child's head.
Add a narrow strip of fabric to tie around the waist.
BOOHBAH PARTY GAMES AND ACTIVITIES
Squeaky Socks Game
Boobah is all about movement, creativity and laughter!
Gather the children and have them hop, skip and jump.
Every time their feet hit the floor they will make
a squeaking noise to go along with their movement.
Giggles are sure to follow!
At first, adults may need to encourage the children
by participating as well.
Boohbah Freeze
Encourage children to dance and move freely with or
without music. When the leader says "BoohBah!"
the children will freeze until the leader says "go"!
Allow the kids to take turns being the leader.
BoohBah Bubbles
Before the party enlist older children or adults to be your
"Bubble Blowers". Blow bubbles and have the children try to
"catch and pop them". You can find bubble wands in a
variety of shapes and sizes to add to the fun.
Boohbah Clay
Create with play dough in BoohBah colors;
yellow, blue, orange, pink and purple.
Provide a work surface, pieces of wood dowel
for rolling and other kid-safe gadgets or shaping tools.

fine glitter for Boohbah star dust!
Look What I Can Do!
Before the party cut a large circle of brightly colored fabric or use a round table cloth.Place the table cloth on the floor.Gather the children around the circle. The birthday child will take the first turn standing in the circle
saying "Look what I cab do!", while moving their body in their
own special way; stand on one foot, touch toes, hands - up etc...The
rest of the players will imitate and then take their turns one at a
time.
Make and Take Story People
Decorate your own Boobah Story People cookies
to take home for a treat!
Before the party make sugar cookies with Boy and girl cookie cutters. Provide a variety of colored frosting and
wood craft sticks for spreading. Add any other age appropriate decorating
items such as chocolate or rainbow sprinkles and colored sugar. When decorating is complete, place the cookie on a small
paper plate and cover with plastic wrap to take home.
Tip: Place your frosting in a few muffin tins in the center of the table.
The children can share all of the colors easily!
