Extreme Sports Birthday Party - BMX Birthday - Skateboard Party
Your guests will have some extreme fun, when they arrive at this cool birthday party focused around skateboards, BMX bikes and motocross.
skateboard party supplies
When Wendy Simonson's son told her he wanted a birthday party with extreme sports as a theme, she was hesitant. Including skate boards
and BMX bikes at a birthday party seemed too dangerous. We helped
her plan ex-treme sports and skateboard party games and activities, keeping safety in mind.
"The kids loved the relay race so much, they asked to play it
second time...when friends come to play they still ask if they
can have a relay race!"

Decorate with the standard streamers and balloons. Then, add a few extras; real or toy skateboards, helmets, bikes, BMX, skateboard,
motocross and surfing sports posters, tires, snowboards etc.

Silly Board Sport Relay
A wacky extreme relay race!
Before the party collect items that represent different extreme sports.
For example: surfer shorts, bike helmets, knee pads, bike gloves etc.
Collect enough for each team.
At the party, divide your guests into two teams. Give each team the same set of props, so the level of difficulty will be equal. Mark a starting line. Place a chair for each team a short distance away from the starting line.

To begin the game, the first person on each team must put on the surfer shorts, hat and scarf (or whatever items you choose) and travel to the chair using the skateboard. Here is the safe part...they player must lay, kneel or sit on the skateboard.  After reaching the chair, the player runs back to the team (carrying the board) and passes the props to the next player. The game continues until everyone has had a turn. The first team
to finish, wins!

Games in a Pinch
These unique games and activities that require very little prep time!

Play "hot potato", using a bicycle helmet. Don't forget the extreme music!

Have a scooter relay race with two teams and a few
  cones ,or tires for obstacles.

Roll skateboards down a sloped road or driveway.
Whichever board reaches the end first wins.

Race to decorate a BMX  or Motocross bike.
Provide teams with a package of streamers and a bike.
They will race against the clock to wrap the entire bike
with the complete roll of streamers; handlebars, seat and tires.

What a video or an extreme sports event.
The kids can be the  commentators!

Have fun decorating a salvaged board. You can often find these at
second hand stores or garage sales. Give the kids some paint, decals etc.
and watch them create! Cover the work area of course and use
  kid-safe products.

Party favors and Prizes
Fill a water bottles with candy, board stickers or logos, temporary tattoos, key chains or zipper pulls.

To add wheels and axles use cut carrot sticks and whole black olives.
Place an olive on the ends of two carrot sticks and lay the sandwich
on top of both carrots - olives are the wheels, carrots are the axles.
