For stress-free party planning, order your
party supplies
and favors on-line. Then use the JoJo's Circus
party ideas
below,
to plan your games, crafts and decorations.
The earlier you
begin planning your child's birthday, the more fun you'll have!
NOTE: The Jo Jo's Circus party pattern is no longer available
from our favorite suppliers. But don't worry, primary colored party
items combined with a Jo Jo's Circus toy centerpiece, a poster and the theme
related activities below will create a JoJo's Big Top birthday to
remember!JOJO'S CIRCUS INVITATIONS
Mail invitations 2-3 weeks ahead of time.
Purchase matching invitations, or make your own with card stock
paper.
Cut three balloon shapes using primary colors and punch a small hole in
the bottom of each balloon. Over lap them slightly and glue them
together with a glue stick. Tie a piece of yarn through the holes
and
make a knot. Write your party information on the balloons.
"Hey,Hey it's JoJo's Circus!
Please come celebrate _______'s Birthday"
We'll jump and play and have some fun!
Variation:
If you are particularly crafty, cut Big Top tents with flaps that
open to give the party details.
JOJO'S CIRCUS PARTY DECORATIONS
Create a Big Top theme with extra balloons and streamers.
Use
primary colors for a color scheme. If you are planning a
simple party
for small children, there is no need to be elaborate.
For a more
advanced circus theme, use appliance boxes and
poster board to make a Ticket
booth and other JoJo's circus props.
Hire a teen helper for this job.
They enjoy the extra money and you'll
enjoy the extra time.
Go Green...
If you are like me, and want to use less disposable products, a white
sheet makes an easy to clean table cloth. Sprinkle colored candies
around the table and run thick pieces of cloth ribbon down the center.
You can re-use the ribbon later and wash the sheet with bleach!
JOJO'S CIRCUS PARTY GAMES AND ACTIVITIES
Upon arrival, give each child a red clown nose and face paint
a flower
or rosy red cheeks. Not all children will want to
participate in face painting or wearing the nose...that is just fine!
Considering the age group that JoJo's Circus appeals to,
keep your party games simple and non-competitive.
Trina's Tightrope
Before the party, lightly sand and paint a 2x4 board.
Place it on the ground and have the children take turns
balancing as they walk across. Play fun music while they play.
Everyone gets a sticker when they reach the end.
Children may want to keep this activity going several times.
Pin the Ball on JoJo's Hat
Uh-oh! JoJo has lost the red ball from her hat...can you help her find
it?

Cut the hat shape from blue poster board and the circles from
red poster board. Use double stick tape to attach the red
circles to the hat. Play just as you would Pin-the-tail on the donkey.
Blindfold one player at a time. Gently turn them three times and then
head them in the right direction ...they will stick the red circles as
close to the top of the hat as they can. Tip: Not all kids want to be
blindfolded...
let them close their eyes. Other fun and easy activities:
Twist, turn, stretch and jump to a JoJo's Circus CD
Play follow the leader "Chuga-Chuga Jump, chuga chuga stretch
etc..."
Make and catch Giant Bubbles
Color JoJo's Circus coloring pages
Use potatoes, paint and paper to make "Tater prints
Provide the parts from a Mr. potato head toy and
real potatoes for the kids to use.
An Easy-to-Make JoJo's Circus Cake Bake and frost a simple sheet cake.
then decorate it with a set of

and your favorite birthday
